Opening of the Eole line
The Eole line, a key project for low-carbon mobility in the Île-de-France region, welcomed its first passengers a month ago!
setec has worked on the La Défense sector for more than 10 years, as leader of the project management consortium alongside other engineering firms and the duthilleul architecture studio.
This extension, completed by the upgrading of the existing line between Nanterre and Mantes-la-Jolie, is one of the major developments of the Grand Paris project.
It represents a major technical challenge, involving the creation of an underground station 250 metres long, 30 metres wide and 40 metres deep, beneath the CNIT, which is still in use.
This exceptional project has been awarded the Grand Prix National de l'Ingénierie in 2019.
Many companies in the setec group were involved in this exceptional project. setec bâtiment, for its part, was in charge of MEP engineering (HVAC-D, plumbing, HV/LV, security), fire safety coordination, pre-synthesis and execution synthesis, as well as BIM Management.
The difficulty of this project lies in its complexity, in terms of structure and the integration of connections to the outside world in terms of passenger flows, ventilation and connections to the urban network. The studies also included in-depth consideration of the fire safety system, using digital models in Revit. The execution synthesis mission was also carried out in BIM, including a specific model for the reservations.
A huge well done to all the teams for their commitment and expertise on this major project!
